Leicester Hollow Trail
The Leicester Hollow Trail in the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area was destroyed in a flood in 2008, and as a result it was redesigned in a more sustainable location, to eventually become a loop trail shared by mountain bikes and foot traffic. The location is phenomenal - a lush steep-sided valley, with cliffs, overhanging ferns, a clear mountain stream, and access to the beautiful Silver Lake Campground, and Branbury State Park. This work was completed during summer 2010 by two VYCC crews over an eight week period, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, with work continuing in 2011.
