Phase One / Development

  1. Team
    - Create a "Team" to oversee and complete the project – team should consist of users local to the terrain or those with commitment to completion
    - "Team Leader" identified to become the go to person for this project and the driving force to completion. Potential to break into two, with second to be on the ground or the trail / property lead person.
     
  2. Owner Land Manager Coordination
    - Identify land owner, property manager and any contact involved
    - Clarify their issues, concerns and objectives for property
    - Create schedule for property / trail assessment; beginning and end of season
     
  3. Assess Property
    - Inventory existing trails / GPS
    - Inventory problem areas; drainage or wet spots, repair needed, parking, etc
    - Create Map
     
  4. Planning
    - Flag potential trails
    - Plan trail upgrades to repair damage and improve drainage
     
  5. Signage
    - Plan potential signage
     
  6. Construction
    - Get approval from Land Manager
    - Schedule work days for:
    New Trail Construction
    Repair work
     

Phase Two / Management

  1. Property Manager Communication
    - Site visits with land manager

  2. Spring trail maintenance
    - Remove blow downs
    - rake trails
    - Drainage issues / reroutes

  3. Ongoing issues
