On the evening of September 15th 2012, the Lunar Quarry 12 continues for its second year, as a twelve-hour night mountain bike relay set in a rock quarry from the 1920's. The quarry forms a natural amphitheater and is the setting for the event, which is limited to 35 teams and 25 solo racers. Bands will play in the glow of a bonfire on top of a post-apocalyptic rock crusher building along side movies projected on the quarry wall. Fresh brick oven pizza will be provided throughout the night. Riders will enter the quarry after laps and fire paintball guns biathlon style at targets - scores will be complied throughout the event.
